What are the minimum qualifications for teaching jobs?
For many of our vacancies all you need is a bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) from an accredited university and a 100-hour TEFL certificate. Specific requirements can vary between different locations and different schools, but many of our positions only require these basics. Some of the other requirements for more advanced roles may include a teaching qualification or 2+ years of teaching experience. The criteria for each vacancy are specified with each role listed on our Vacancies tab.

Do I need to have completed all qualifications before applying for a position? 

No, however, your qualification certificates are often used by the school or for your visa process, so we do recommend that you are close to completion and receipt of your certificates when you apply for our positions.

Can you help recommend a TEFL course? 

Yes! We can help with this; we are partnered with different TEFL course providers and can recommend courses that would be the most suitable for you. Just drop us an email or give us a call and we can take you through everything you need to know. 

 

​Do you offer free flights to my destination?

You will need to cover your flight cost initially, however, some employers do offer a flight reimbursement at the end of a 12-month contract.

Can we apply as a couple?

Depending on the location and vacancies available absolutely yes! Many couples apply together and are housed together as long as you both meet the minimum requirements; this is not a problem at all.

Is there a maximum age for getting a job?

While some learning centres and schools may prefer younger teachers due to the physical demands of their setups and work environments, we welcome applications from teachers of all ages. As long as you meet the qualifications and are passionate about teaching, age is not a barrier.
